The 2059 Triple A Baseball season began inauspiciously for the Iowa Cubs. The Cubs were outclassed, 8-2, by the Oklahoma City Dodgers. Jeremy Easton was 2 for 3 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once in the contest. Danny Zachau notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0.

With Oklahoma City leading 2-0 in the top of the sixth, Easton hit a fastball from Mike Acevedo for a bases-clearing double. It was his 1st double of the season and put the Dodgers ahead, 5-0.
