Bats Topple Stripers, 3-0
|
The Louisville Bats and Gwinnett Stripers completed their game despite the rain.
Eric Collins knocked in all 3 runs for the Louisville Bats, helping them beat the Gwinnett Stripers, 3-0. Chuck Salsbury, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings.
Early in the game, Collins had a 3-run home run for Louisville. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Bats on top, 3-0.
Collins said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
The Bats, now 76-64, have won 4 in a row.
