DiGirolamo Slugs 2 Home Runs, Bulls Beat Mets, 6-5

Both teams had their chances, but the Durham Bulls eventually prevailed.
The Durham Bulls topped the Syracuse Mets, 6-5, the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Jaime DiGirolamo. On the day, DiGirolamo hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Bulls. Eddy Pantoja got credit for the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 5.2 innings.
DiGirolamo had a key at-bat for Durham in the top of the first. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and gave Durham an early 3-0 lead.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Syracuse manager . "The effort was great."
The Bulls move to 79-54 with the win, while the Mets drop to 62-71.
