Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Scranton WB RailRiders and the Buffalo Bisons. Scranton WB won it, 1-0. Scranton WB starter Gene Gibson was in command. Gibson got the win, improving to 2-0. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed no runs. The RailRiders improved to 75-55.

The RailRiders got a big boost from center fielder Wilfredo Espindola who had a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first inning off Bisons hurler Won-ho Park. It was his 12th RBI of the season and put Scranton WB on top, 1-0.

"Winning never gets dull," said Espindola.
