Syracuse starter Alex Pino pitched well against the Charlotte Knights at BB&T Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a win, 13-4. The winning pitcher was Pino, now 8-7. He tossed 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. The Mets sit in 5th place in the International League North Division with a record of 58-62.

The Mets got a big hit from pinch hitter Bobby Buckley. Facing Charlotte pitcher Juan Candelario in the top of the seventh, Buckley pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season put the Mets ahead, 10-1.

"I just tried to put the barrel on it," said Buckley.
