The Norfolk Tides beat the Buffalo Bisons, 3-2. Norfolk pitcher and Leo-Cedarville, Indiana, native Mike Lynn led the way. Kevin McMillian notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 2-1. Juan Madrigal wrapped it up, recording his 6th save.

Jesus Sandoval went 1 for 2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch for Norfolk. The 27-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Jon Cadena. It was his 12th walk of the season.

After the game, Norfolk manager applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
