At Huntington Park, the Columbus Clippers and Louisville Bats were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Louisville Bats received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Vince Bartz, allowing them to shoot down the Columbus Clippers, 4-0. The 5th-place Bats lifted their record to 61-59.

Bartz was the winner. He's now 9-10, after putting the Columbus offense in a vise grip. Over 8 innings, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while racking up 5 Ks.

Afterward, Bats manager said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
