Red Wings Rally to Win
|
Despite a fine performance by center fielder Steve Mueller, the Toledo Mud Hens lost to the Rochester Red Wings, 6-5. Mueller was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times. The win puts Rochester at 59-56 this season.
Steve Lewis was the walk-off hero for Rochester. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Red Wings left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm glad I could get it done when the game was in the balance," Lewis said in his postgame press conference.
