Jenkins Impressive in Pawtucket Win
|
The Pawtucket Red Sox rode a solid performance from 23-year-old starting pitcher Nathan Jenkins to a win, beating the Syracuse Mets, 4-0, at McCoy Stadium. The Red Sox now have a record of 60-48.
Jenkins allowed no runs on 5 hits over 8.1 innings for Pawtucket. With the win, the southpaw is 6-7 with an ERA of 4.05.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Jenkins.
