Knights, Rosales Pin Bad Loss on IronPigs
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Charlotte Knights delighted fans at BB&T Stadium.

Behind the bravura of third baseman Luis Rosales, the Charlotte Knights topped the Lehigh Valley IronPigs by the score of 10-2. Rosales went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once for the Knights. Melvin Gomez earned the win to go to 5-9. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts in 5.2 innings of work. Steve Allen earned the save for Charlotte, his 1st of the year.

A key moment came with two out in the bottom of the second. That's when Rosales hit a fastball from Josh Buchert for a 2-run single, putting Charlotte up, 2-0.

"It was a good team win. Everybody threw something in," Rosales told the Charlotte Bulletin.

Their 34-72 record puts the Knights last in the International League South Division.
