Durham Rallies Past Scranton WB, 2-1

Durham Bulls Athletic Park played host to some dramatic action.
The Durham Bulls picked up a win at Durham Bulls Athletic Park, topping the Scranton WB RailRiders, 2-1. On the mound for Durham was right-hander Edgar Gutierrez. He played a principal role in the triumph. Andy Mullins, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-11. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings.
Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 25-year old second baseman Alex Salinas had a real shot to win the game. Scranton WB pitcher Chris Silk was determined not to let it happen. But with one out, Salinas hit a run-scoring single. The Bulls had a walk-off triumph.
"We leaned on our pitching tonight," Salinas said.
The 4th-place Bulls now have a record of 50-47.
