Stripers Knock Off IronPigs at Coca-Cola Park

Coca-Cola Park was the site of a tense game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Gwinnett Stripers.
Gwinnett Stripers starter Jerry Bennett pitched his team past the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, 3-2. Bennett yielded 2 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 2. His record improves to 9-3.
Jeff Upchurch, who is tied for 3rd in the IL in home runs with 14, had a direct impact on the outcome. Upchurch contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Gwinnett up, 1-0.
