Bulls Lose at Home, 3-1
|
Getting an impressive start from Jim Childs, Syracuse beat Durham by the score of 3-1. Chad Bledsoe finished to wrap up his 15th save. The 5th-place Mets now have a win-loss record of 45-43.
Syracuse needed the clutch hitting of Darrell Rowland to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets on top, 3-1. For the game, Rowland had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Rowland called the win "a collective effort."
