Syracuse Earns 3-2 Win
|
The Syracuse Mets earned a close win over the Charlotte Knights, thanks in part to Alex Pino. The Syracuse left-hander, who is tied for 6th in the IL in strikeouts with 59, played a key role in the 3-2 victory. Zach Walls was called on to finish, recording his 13th save. The Mets now own a record of 33-54.
Mike Johnson had a direct impact on the outcome. Johnson contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the ninth inning to put Syracuse up, 3-2.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Pino, "and then get after it again."
