The Charlotte Knights topped the Norfolk Tides, 11-2, in International League action at Harbor Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Charlotte right fielder Eric Potter. The winner was Bobby Ventura, who threw 88 pitches over 7.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 1 run on 5 hits. The Knights saw their record improve to 36-46.

Orlando Rojas was a prime contributor to the Charlotte win. He was 1-4, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the second with two out, the 25-year old shortstop hit a 2-run single. It made the score 3-0, in favor of the Knights.

"We can't expect to win," said Norfolk manager , "when we play like that."
