Durham got a terrific game from shortstop Jonathon Buscho. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Syracuse, 10-7, in 10 innings. Buscho was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Zach Walls closed out the game, earning his 12th save. The Mets raised their record to 31-51.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Edgar Patino to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mets on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"I guess we'll all be a happy family for at least one day," said Patino.
