Indianapolis beat Pawtucket in a rain-soaked ballgame.

The Pawtucket Red Sox were defeated, 4-1, by the Indianapolis Indians at McCoy Stadium, even though Josh Shultz pitched well for Pawtucket. Indianapolis reliever Mike Adams snagged the win, upping his record to 1-1. Josh Shultz shouldered the loss.

The Indians took the lead, 4-0, in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Pawtucket hurler Josh Shultz with one out, Ernie Groves hit a 2-run single.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Groves said.

The Indians are now 32-32.
