Gwinnett Defeated by Louisville, 3-1
|
The rain did not keep Louisville and Gwinnett from finishing their game.
Louisville Bats starter Joe Lytes was in fine form. He led his team to victory over the Gwinnett Stripers, 3-1. Juan Valenzuela wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save.
Gregorio Nunez, who is tied for 5th in the IL in hits with 62, had a direct impact on the outcome. Nunez contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Louisville up, 1-0.
"I like what I saw today," said Louisville manager , "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
The 4th-place Bats have a record of 30-29.
