Syracuse Mets starter Kevin Bachman found his groove in his team's 3-1 win over the Buffalo Bisons. Bachman got the win, improving to 5-4. He gave up 2 hits and walked 4 over 7 innings. He allowed 1 run. The Mets improved their record to 21-39 with the win over Buffalo.

The Bisons had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Mets going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 36-year old first baseman Julio Carrillo came to the plate. Carrillo hit a 2-run double on a full count fastball from Buffalo hurler Joe Zambrano. It was Carrillo's 4th double of the year.
