Charlotte Drops Another One, 8-4
|
Charlotte first baseman Pete Brennan was sensational. He went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Gwinnett beat the Knights, 8-4. Gwinnett pitcher Mike Miller got the win, upping his record to 1-0. Mike Croslin got the loss. Picking up the save was Micah Kilburn, his 4th.
Gwinnett went up, 8-4, on Chris Victor's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Victor hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Charlotte pitcher Mike Croslin feeling irked.
"We're not winning games right now," said Charlotte manager . "But I'm not going to denigrate the effort by the guys."
The misery continues for the Knights, who have now dropped 17 in a row.
