Slumping Knights Lose Again

Eric Olivas led Gwinnett to a triumph over Charlotte. The final score was 3-2. The catcher went 4 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 2 RBI. Micah Kilburn finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The losses continue to pile up for Charlotte, which has now fallen 15 times in a row.
Gwinnett took a 3-2 lead on Brad Picciolo's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Picciolo hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Charlotte pitcher Steve Allen visibly frustrated.
Gwinnett manager praised his team's "energy."
