In a low-scoring affair between the Indianapolis Indians and the Buffalo Bisons, pitcher Ryan McMillan was the difference between victory and defeat. The Indianapolis right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Indians win. Victor Gaitan earned the save for Indianapolis, his 3rd of the year. The win puts Indianapolis at 17-14 this season.
Indianapolis used a clutch at-bat from Mike Borkman to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Indians ahead, 2-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
McMillan described the clubhouse as "strangely calm" after the game.
