Toledo picked up a win at Coolray Field, bumping off the Gwinnett Stripers, 5-4. Pitcher Eric Pekrul was a major reason the Mud Hens emerged victorious. The winner was Toledo reliever Chris Snow, now 1-0. The loser was Ken Wohlert. The loss makes Gwinnett 12-9.

It could have been a different outcome for Toledo, had it not been for Ben Ayres, the 28-year old center fielder . Ayres contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Toledo up, 5-4.
