Behind the hitting of Mike Roos, the Scranton WB RailRiders stopped the Columbus Clippers, 7-6, in 10 innings. Roos was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the RailRiders. The loss drops the Clippers to 9-14.
Scranton WB used the timely hitting of Dan Zanetti to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the RailRiders on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Columbus manager . "The effort was great."
