Narrow Win Takes Syracuse Streak to 10
Despite a great performance by Toledo first baseman Chris Gerlach, the Syracuse Mets defeated the Mud Hens by the score of 6-5 in 11 innings at Fifth Third Field. Gerlach was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Chad Bledsoe earned the save for Syracuse, his 2nd of the year. The loss drops Toledo to 9-2.

Syracuse used the timely hitting of Chris Germinario to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the Mets on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Young guys to old guys," said Germinario, "we're all going out there and doing what it takes to win."
