Knights Post 4-1 Win
|
The Charlotte Knights grabbed a win, 4-1, over the Norfolk Tides at BB&T Stadium. Charlotte left fielder Brad McGee was 2 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Charlotte pitcher Melvin Pena earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Dave Orr suffered the loss. Norfolk is 6-5 after the loss.
McGee made an early impact for Charlotte when he stroked his 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which came in the bottom of the second, put the Knights on top, 3-0.
McGee attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
