Indians Earn Late 1-0 Win
|
Right-hander Dana Tartamella mesmerized the Columbus Clippers while leading the Indianapolis Indians to a 1-0 victory. Indianapolis is now 7-8.
Marc Travis went 2-3 with 2 singles and was hit by a pitch for Indianapolis. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Steve Presley. It was his 12th RBI of the season.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Indianapolis manager .
