RailRiders Clip Bats, 4-3
|
The Scranton WB RailRiders defeated the Louisville Bats, 4-3, in 10 innings. Eric Tyers led the way, going 3-for-4 for Scranton WB. Louisville, with the loss, is 5-3.
Up to bat in the bottom of the tenth, 29-year old left fielder Dan Emig had a chance to be the hero. Louisville pitcher Joel Laurenza wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Emig grounded out, driving in 1 run. The RailRiders had themselves a thrilling win.
Tyers said his team "played with focus and determination."
