The Winston-Salem Dash moved to within one game of the Round 2, downing the visiting Lancaster JetHawks at BB&T Ballpark by a score of 6-2. Dash first baseman Alan Eldridge did some major damage. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The win gives the Dash a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 1.

Winston-Salem took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Jeremy Sommer hit a clutch 2-run home run to bring Dash fans to their feet.

"They say the first rule of the playoffs is to win the home games," Eldridge said afterward. "It feels nice, but it is kind of what we were supposed to do."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
