Ashbridge, Toledo Start League Championship Series Strong with Home Win
The Toledo Mud Hens started the League Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Buffalo Bisons at Fifth Third Field by a score of 7-5 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Mud Hens right fielder Zach Ashbridge went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice.

A key moment came with no one out in the bottom of the seventh. That's when Ashbridge hit a cutter from John Matthews for a 3-run home run, putting Toledo up, 6-2.

"This team is hotter than heck," said Toledo manager .

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fifth Third Field in Toledo.
