A strong performance from pitcher Nate Fuhs was not enough for the Norwich Sea Unicorns, who were stopped by the visiting Staten Island Yankees, 2-0, in Game 3 of the Round 1. The Yankees never truly figured out the right-handed Fuhs, who threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. Still, the Yankees now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Jim Corrigan didn't flinch. With a runner on 3rd and Norwich trailing 1-0, Corrigan retired Jeremy Ensley to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Corrigan, with a wink.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Saturday, September 4th , 2060.
