Though he had a stellar game, Jon Drake could not prevent his team, the Spokane Indians, from losing, 7-6, to the Olympia Angels. Drake went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Vince Bufkin finished the game for Olympia and earned his 19th save. At 49-15, the Angels claim first place in the Northwest League North Division.

Olympia used the timely hitting of Sean Pike to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Angels on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Pike.
