Dust Devils Suffer One-Run Loss at Everett
|
Both teams had their chances, but the Everett AquaSox eventually prevailed.
The Everett AquaSox got a magnificent performance from pitcher Tony Pagan, who muffled the Tri-City offense en route to a tight, 2-1 AquaSox win at Everett Memorial Stadium. Pagan picked up the win for Everett, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4.
Joe Burkett aided the Everett cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 3 with a walk.
Burkett attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."
The last-place Dust Devils dropped to 16-44.
