Hops Knock Off Dust Devils at Ron Tonkin Field
The Hillsboro Hops and Tri-City Dust Devils played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.

Pitcher Jose Pulido was sensational for the Hillsboro Hops in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Tri-City Dust Devils. Pulido earned the win. Picking up his 10th save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Eric Touchet.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Hops had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when right fielder Jeff Allen hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Peter Pappenheim and made the score 2-1, Hops. Allen went 2 for 3 with 2 singles.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Allen said.

The win makes Hillsboro 18-29.
