Jonathan Hemphill, who is tied for 9th in the NWL with a 6.8 K/9 rate, had a strong outing for the Surrey Twins against the Everett AquaSox at Baseball City Complex. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 3-1 win. Tim Lehmen was credited with the save for Surrey, his 12th of the season. With the win, Surrey upped its record to 23-23.
Surrey took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Sergio Carranza hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Twins.
Surrey manager called it "a pretty good win."
