|
Good production from right fielder Robby Pederson helped the Olympia Angels topple the Pullman Dodgers, 11-6. Pederson was 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Angels. Leo Lemas earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 4 innings. His record is now 1-0. The first-place Angels now have a win-loss record of 26-10.
Amshel Burgos, who is tied for 5th in the NWL in bases on balls with 27, helped out the Olympia cause in the top of the seventh inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 5 with a walk.
"This team is on a mission," said Pederson, who is one of the clubhouse leaders. "I like our focus."
