Big Day for Ostrem as Emeralds Down Twins, 8-5
|
The Eugene Emeralds got a rain-soaked win over the Surrey Twins.
The Eugene Emeralds downed the Surrey Twins, 8-5. The hitting star was second baseman Mike Ostrem. Ostrem was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Emeralds. Josh Suggs was credited with the save for Eugene, his 5th of the season.
Eugene took the lead on Ostrem's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Hector Guerrero in the bottom of the sixth, made the score 5-4, Eugene.
"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Eugene manager .
Now 11-2, the 2060 Emeralds have been phenomenal so far.
