Dodgers Turn Back AquaSox, 3-2
|
Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Dodgers beat the AquaSox.
Pullman shortstop Tony Gutierrez had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Everett AquaSox, 3-2. The win went to Simão Galvez in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Gabe Diaz took the loss. Emanuel Ortega wrapped it up, recording his 1st save.
Gutierrez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Pullman in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Gutierrez took a fastball from Gabe Diaz and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Dodgers to leap in front, 3-1.
Everett manager said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
The loss drops Everett to 4-1.
