Adams 3-for-5, White Sox Move to 40-26
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 20-year old third baseman Art Adams, the Albany White Sox defeated the Brooklyn Cyclones, 11-2. Sam Stepien, who is tied for 9th in the NYP in innings pitched with 66.2, was the winner. He's now 5-2. The loser was Philip Voigt. The White Sox have now won 7 straight.
Albany center fielder Edgar Alejo contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 76th hit of the season and put the White Sox ahead, 2-0.
"The name of the game is scoring runs," Adams said. "We did a good job of that today."
