Titus, Black Bears Stop Spikes, 4-0

The Black Bears just keep winning.
The West Virginia Black Bears picked up a win at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, knocking off the State College Spikes, 4-0. Starting pitcher Steve Titus played a key role in the triumph. Steve Martinelli nailed down the save.
In his 91-pitch effort, Titus allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7 innings. He walked 3 and struck out 5.
"Eventually, the carousel ride will end," said Titus. "But for now, we'll do our best to enjoy it."
By defeating State College, the second-place Black Bears improved to 48-18.
