66ers Beat Ports, 12-6
|
The Inland Empire 66ers weathered a fine game by Stockton third baseman Jim Bauer to upend the Ports, 12-6, at San Manuel Stadium. Bauer went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The setback makes Stockton 52-83.
Sam Kissinger contributed to the Inland Empire win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.
"I like winning," Kissinger told the Inland Empire Times. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
