The Lancaster JetHawks finished off the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, 12-2. Much of the credit belonged to first baseman Randy Taylor. Taylor went 3-6 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for the JetHawks. Ivan Gonzales, who is tied for 10th in the CC in strikeouts with 72, was the winner. He's now 6-11. The loser was Alex Gomez. With the win, the JetHawks improved to 71-60.

With Lancaster leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Taylor hit a fastball from Alex Gomez for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the JetHawks ahead, 4-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Myrtle Beach manager . "We got trounced."
