Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Red Sox
|
Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark played host to some exciting baseball.
In a tight contest at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark, the Salem Red Sox edged the Lynchburg Hillcats by the score of 6-5 in 10 innings. Salem first baseman Malik Malone, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. The defeat makes Lynchburg 77-58.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. With Salem trailing 5-4, Brandon Mosely hit a fastball from Gabe Grayson to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Red Sox had a walk-off win.
"The game of baseball will test you," said , the Salem skipper. "This one tested us."
