The Visalia Rawhide used the hitting of shortstop Jason Witcher to subdue the Carolina Mudcats, 4-2. For the game, Witcher went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Visalia has run its win streak to 5 straight.
Witcher contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Visalia in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Witcher took a fastball from Tony Gonzalez and stroked the home run to left. His 11th home run of the season allowed the Rawhide to leap in front, 3-1.
