The inspired effort of Down East first baseman Alec Mack was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Lake Elsinore Storm. Mack went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Lake Elsinore now owns a record of 56-68.
Lake Elsinore took a 6-4 lead on Chris Hutchinson's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Hutchinson hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Down East pitcher Dan Schlosser visibly frustrated.
"Nice win for us," said Hutchinson. "Now we'll go after the next one."
