Hillcats Use Late Rally to Win
Lynchburg Hillcats starter Gabe Grayson kept the Down East Wood Ducks hitters in check, leading his team to a comfortable 6-2 win. The win was credited to 24-year old right-handed pitcher Josh Cohen in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Tony Arenas took the loss. Victor Raya finished the game for Lynchburg and earned his 2nd save.

Lynchburg used the timely hitting of Dave Fonseca to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hillcats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Feels good to get the job done," Fonseca said after the game.

Lynchburg occupies 4th place in the CAR/CAL Carolina League at 59-46.
