|
Good production from first baseman Eddie Giraldo helped the Lancaster JetHawks topple the Stockton Ports, 7-4. Giraldo was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the JetHawks. Victor Arango snagged the win in relief. He goes to 6-0 on the season. Chris Crooks suffered the loss. At 63-27, the JetHawks are currently first in the CAR/CAL California League.
Helping the Lancaster cause was Chris Lenz. In the top of the first, the 23-year old catcher had a run-scoring walk to make the score 3-0, JetHawks.
"I still think this team can play even better," Lenz told the Lancaster Chronicle.
