Red Sox Get Past Rancho Cucamonga, 2-1
|
The Salem Red Sox, despite a fine performance by Rancho Cucamonga pitcher Bob Abadie, grabbed a 2-1 win at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark. Abadie allowed 1 run over 7 innings. Salem is now 45-38, Rancho Cucamonga 49-34.
The Red Sox procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Joe Hale. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
Said losing manager : "'I liked the effort, just not the results."
