Wilmington Beats Rancho Cucamonga, 7-4
The Wilmington Blue Rocks beat the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, 7-4, at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium. The win was due in part to right fielder Shane Williams, who was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Blue Rocks, at 24-38, sit in 9th place in the CAR/CAL Carolina League.

Wilmington took a 5-4 lead on Jim Webb's 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Webb hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Rancho Cucamonga pitcher Jerry Guzman visibly frustrated.

"No complaints from me," said Blue Rocks manager . "I like what I saw out there."
