Pelicans Collect 8-6 Win Over Hillcats
Lynchburg right fielder Julio Baldazo was sensational. He went 3-6 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Myrtle Beach beat the Hillcats, 8-6, in 12 innings. Juan Colon, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. The Pelicans, at 28-28, have now won 4 straight.

Myrtle Beach used the timely hitting of Mike Clark to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Pelicans on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We got the victory," said Clark. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
